A writ petition has been filed in the Supreme Court, against the possibilities of the formation of the Election Government, led by Chief Justice Khilraj Regmi, on the basis of the agreement of four major parties of Nepal.
Chairperson of our organization; Anti Corruption Movement Nepal, Advocate Bharat Mani Jangam has filed writ petition on 17 Feb 2013, Sunday demanding the Supreme Court's intervention against the appointment. The Supreme Court has registered the writ filed against the office of the President, Office of the Prime Minister, Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda).
Petitioner has sought an interim order against the decision of the four major parties- UCPN (Maoist), Nepali congress, CPN-UML, and United Democratic Madhesi Front, arguing that such government is against the principle of separation of power and the Interim Constitution of Nepal.
The plaintiff also sought Supreme Court for the formation of a new government within a month, so that, the election of the Constituent Assembly and the Parliament may held soon.
Jangam has claimed that the CJ-Led Government could increase political interference in the judiciary and thus it could fail to manage the state administration and people as well.
