The unit of Anticorruption Movement Nepal, Sankhu Committee organized the program with the slogan"Let's eradicate corruption and make a corruption free Sankhu".
The aim of the program was to provide information about corruption related matter to the people, being focused particular on the Land related corruption. Chairperson of Central Guthi Organization Mr. Panchalal Maharjan was the Chief Guest of the program. The Chairperson of Anti-corruption Movement Nepal, Mr. Bharat Jangam, Assistant Administrator of Central Guthi Organization Hem Raj Subedi, were the guests of program and Mahaut Lasselin, intern of Anti Corruption Movement Nepal from France was the special guest of that program. Mr. Ratna Prasad Shrestha, Chair person of AMN Sankhu Area Committee was the Chairperson of the program.
More than 300 people participated on the program, which was the highlight of the program. And the participants asked various questions to the chief guest as well as the other guests, about the matters related to Guthi Land and land related corruption. Many of them also asked about the corruption present in government offices. They wanted to know how the Guthi lands (the land of temple) were converting into the private land.
The guest of the program Mr. Panchalal Marjan gave the answers of participants' questions. And also there was the speech of the guests relating the present level of corruption in many sectors of the country and ideas reducing corruption. All the speeches were focused on the education about anti-corruption, they said first of all people must be educated. They also advised AMN to organize some program for the new generation, youths and government administrator for providing training about anticorruption and AMN should take serious action against corrupt people to reduce the level of the corruption.
Sankhu's people assure us that they are united and ready to fight against corruption with us. They also advice us that we must reduce corruption in our country not only Sankhu, for that, we have to organize some motivation and training programs on anti corruption in every parts of the country and they gave us courage to work against corruption. We would like to thank for the assurance the people gave us to work harder. Chairperson of AMN also likes to congratulate the unit/area committee of AMN, Sankhu for the successful works they did to reduce the corruption in the Guthi land in Sankhu.
